Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how FingerLaserX ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you play FingerLaserX (the "Game") on iOS and Android or visit our website at fl-x.cc (the "Website"), and the choices you have about that information. This policy is written in English; any translation is provided for convenience only, and the English version prevails.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
The Game does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, or other directly identifying personal information to play. If you redeem a referral or promotional code, we process that code to credit the associated reward. If you contact support (including through the Contact option in the Game's settings, which pre-fills technical details such as the app version, device model and OS version, display language, and your player code so you can review them before sending), we receive the information contained in your message and use it to respond.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Game, certain information is collected automatically, including:
- Device and usage data — device model, operating system version, language and region settings, app version, in-game events (such as levels played, scores, and rewards earned), crash logs, and performance diagnostics.
- Advertising identifiers — a resettable advertising ID (Apple's IDFA / IDFV or Google's Advertising ID) and related identifiers used to deliver and measure ads. Where consent is required (such as in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland), personalized advertising is used only if you consent; if you decline, ads are non-personalized. Elsewhere, ads may be personalized by default, subject to the device-level controls described in Section 5 — on iOS, personalized advertising also requires the permission you grant through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.
- Approximate location — derived from your IP address and device region, used to apply the correct privacy disclosures and to serve region-appropriate ads. We do not collect precise GPS location.
- A pseudonymous game identifier — a randomly generated code used to support referral and mission-progress features. It is not linked to your real-world identity.
- Purchase data — if you make an in-app purchase, we receive details of the transaction from the app store (such as the product purchased, purchase time, and a transaction identifier) to deliver your purchase and analyze how our in-game store performs. Payment is processed entirely by Apple or Google; we never receive your payment card details, billing address, or legal name.
- Push notification token — if you enable notifications, a device token is used to deliver them. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings or in the Game's settings.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- operate, maintain, and improve the Game and its features;
- save your game progress, rewards, and settings;
- provide referral and promotional-code functionality;
- process your in-app purchases and deliver purchased content;
- send you notifications that you have chosen to receive;
- display advertising and measure its performance;
- diagnose crashes, analyze usage trends, and improve stability and performance;
- detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical issues; and
- comply with applicable laws and enforce our Terms of Use.
Where the GDPR or similar law applies (for example in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland), we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (operating the Game and delivering your purchases), your consent (personalized advertising, and notifications you enable), and our legitimate interests (analytics, stability and crash diagnostics, and fraud and abuse prevention), balanced against your rights and interests.
3. Third-Party Services
The Game uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. Each provider's use of information is governed by its own privacy policy:
- Google AdMob (advertising) — How Google uses information · Google Privacy Policy
- Google Firebase / Google Analytics for Firebase (usage analytics) — Firebase Privacy & Security
- Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting)
- Cloud Firestore & Firebase Authentication (referral, promo, and mission-progress data)
- Firebase Remote Config & App Check (configuration and anti-abuse)
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications, if you enable them)
These providers may process data on servers located outside your country of residence. We rely on the providers' safeguards, including the applicable contractual data-protection terms, for such transfers.
4. Our Website and Cookies
The Website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how the Website is used — for example, which pages are viewed, from which country, and how often referral invite links are opened. For this purpose Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (small identifiers stored by your browser, with names beginning "_ga") and collects technical information such as your browser type, device category, approximate location, and the pages you visit. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We have not enabled Google Signals or any advertising features on the Website, and Website analytics data is kept separate from the Game analytics described in Section 3.
If you visit the Website from the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, analytics consent is denied by default: no analytics cookies are set and no identifier is stored on your device; only cookieless, aggregate measurement signals are sent. In other regions, analytics cookies are enabled by default. You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
5. Your Choices and Consent
Consent for advertising (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before using your data for personalized advertising, using Google's Consent Management Platform (the User Messaging Platform). You can change your choices at any time through the privacy options in the Game's settings. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalized.
U.S. state privacy rights
If you are a resident of California or another U.S. state with applicable privacy laws, you may have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information (as those terms are defined under such laws). You can exercise this choice through the privacy options in the Game's settings.
Device-level controls
You can reset or limit your advertising identifier at any time in your device settings (iOS: Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking and Apple Advertising; Android: Settings › Google › Ads).
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. Because the Game does not require an account, we may be unable to identify data associated with you without additional information. To make a request, contact us using the details in Section 11. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the Game, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Analytics and advertising data are retained in accordance with the respective providers' retention policies.
8. Children's Privacy
The Game is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. Locally stored game data is encrypted on your device. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
